I am beyond excited to have discovered a new up and coming brand called Rookie Chef. Rookie Chef is a Kids Real Cooking Set. Assembly is easy and takes about 30 minutes with this step by step video. I highly recommend taking advantage of the step by step assembly! Rookie Chef offers children a Rookie Island Cart as well as an accessories bundle perfect to get your little one in the kitchen with you! The Island Cart comes with wheels that you can use to lock and unlock the cart as well as adjusting the height. It grows with your child!
Cullen is now 5 and is always eager to help me in the kitchen. From washing dishes to cooking dinner there is no task Cullen will not tackle. Cullen had the pleasure of helping me put together the Island Cart. I will admit it would have been a lot easier and quicker for me to do it by myself but I couldn’t refuse him the learning opportunity. There isn’t one thing about the Island Cart we dislike. In fact, the bamboo top makes me jealous. I have decided I may actually get more use out of it than Cullen. The Island also features a flip up extension for extended work space, height adjustability up to 3″, several drawers and plenty of storage space.
The accessories bundle is a must have to go with the Island Cart! There are several accessories included in the bundle that will come in handy while your child is helping you out. The different accessories are sold individually or in a bundle. I highly recommend the bundle as each accessory plays a key part in your child being able to help out! The different accessories include:
- The Mixer- Upper – This manual hand mixer is used for light mixing, intended to be a first step before an electric mixer. Uses include: eggs, dressings, marinades, sauces, pudding, and jello. Perfect for beginners. Easy to use, easy to clean.
- The Handy-Slicer – This manual apple corer, mango corer and chopper (french fries, onions) is super handy to have in the kitchen. We even slice tomatoes with the Handy Slicer, it’s great. Easily removable attachments make clean up…easy.
- The Slicer-Dicer – This Chopper/Grater/Slicer makes food prep fun and safe for Primes in the kitchen. The majority of knife work can be replaced with this kitchen solution. Primes love it, parents love it more!
- Apron w/ Detachable Hand Towel – This perfectly sized apron not only puts your Rookie in a cooking mindset but also protects their clothes. The handy towel attached is ready to clean up, throw in the washer and reattach or the next meal. Great for gift giving! Personalized aprons upon request.
