There is nothing better than cause to celebrate and what better excuse than the Holiday’s with family and friends. After all, this is the time of the year when everyone comes together to celebrate and nothing says celebration better than Champagne Taittinger Brut. This high proportion of Chardonnay, and a minimum aging of three years in the cellar where it reaches full aromatic maturity, make Taittinger Brut La Francaise a delicately balanced Champagne known for its consistent quality acclaimed worldwide.

A brilliant golden yellow in colour. The bubbles are fine, while the foam is discreet yet lingering. The ose, very open and expressive, delivers aromas of fruit and brioche. Fragrances are reminiscent of peach, white flours and vanilla. The palate is lively, crisp and harmonious. This is delicate wine with flavours of fresh fruit and honey. Call me crazy, if you will but as much as my family and I love Champagne, the Taittinger Brut was no exception, I decided to use this opportunity to try a new approach. With the fresh fruit and honey notes the Taittinger Brut provides I decided to amp it up even more and make a Pomegranate-Champagne Punch. The new flavor notes combined with pomegranate were simply divine. The Taittinger Brut was already delicious and refreshing on its own but the Pomegranate-Champagne Punch was just as delicious and refreshing! Pomegranate-Champagne Punch!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups pomegranate juice
  • 1 cup pear nectar
  • 1/4 cupĀ Grand Marnier
  • 1 bottleĀ Champagne Taittinger Brut La Francaise

Directions:
In a large pitcher, combine pomegranate juice, pear nectar, and Grand Marnier. Slowly add Champagne. Serve over ice. ENJOY!
