Instead of driving to school, to work or to the local store, leave the car at home and go for a walk. If you have a dog, go for two walks a day instead of one, or make your evening stroll a little longer than usual. Take the stairs rather than escalator or elevator. If you have a sedentary job, for example, you work at an office, make use of your breaks, get some fresh air and stretch your legs.

Of course, there may be times when you crave me time and want to exercise alone, but it’s also a good idea to look for child-friendly classes, such as stroller fitness and baby and kids yoga and to get children involved in home workouts. If you’re doing a dance-based session, for example, you may find that your kids take an interest and they want to copy the moves.
Join a club or team
Team sports are a fantastic way to get fit, meet new people, and be more sociable. Often, clubs have multiple teams, and this is brilliant for families. You can all get in shape and enjoy the benefits of being more active, you can form new friendships, and you can spend time together, as well as enjoying time to yourselves.
