Delicious Valentine’s Meals At Home
Valentine’s Day is such a romantic holiday and if you know anything you know restaurants are crowded! My husband and I are guilty of rushing out the night of Valentine’s to find a table at a nice restaurant without waiting an hour to be seated. This year we have decided to do a delicious Valentine’s meal at home. Thanks so food delivery services like Martha & Marley Spoon the idea of a Valentine’s meal at home is much more effortless than before.
Martha & Marley Spoon sends the recipes of your choice and the fresh, pre-portioned ingredients you need to cook them directly to your door, so you can enjoy something new and delicious any night of the week. My husband, Cullen and I decided to give Martha & Marley Spoon a try and loved how it was different options from our normal everyday dinner routine.
Our first night of using Martha & Marley Spoon we had the Seared Steak & Crispy Potatoes with Garlicky Collard Greens & Aioli. The portion size was perfect for the three of us. The steaks were juicy and perfect cuts of meat and not covered in fat and gristle like steaks you would buy in a grocery store. I was very impressed at how tender the steaks turned out to be pan seared. The potatoes were golden yellow Yukon potatoes coated with extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper. These potatoes were roasted in an over and had a slight sweet taste that complimented the collard greens. Everything about our first meal with Martha & Marley Spoon was exceptionally wonderful!
On the second night we had the Chile-Salsa Drumsticks with Blistered Green Beans and Rice. The portion for this particular recipe was more than enough for 3 people which included a total of 10 drumsticks. We honestly never have drumsticks unless fried so this recipe was long anticipated. The ease of this recipe was on point even though it included a jalapeano salsa which required some chopping I couldn’t have asked for an easier recipe. I absolutely loved the crunchy somewhat char the chicken legs get after the 2 minute extra broil. That char combined with the slight heat of the jerk spice put this recipe over the top for us.
The ingredients come in a grab and go bag separated by recipe with a label sealing it so you know what ingredients go to which recipe. Recipe cards are provided for the step by step instructions you need to master the recipe of your choosing. If you are looking to save the time and hassle of fighting crowds and overpaying this Valentine’s Day Martha & Marley Spoon is just what you need! The menu for Valentine’s week is up and I highly recommend trying the Bangers and Mash with Caramelized Onion Gravy. Checkout the Valentine’s week menu yourself! Happy Eating!!
