It’s no secret that my husband and I love to travel. From cruising to the Caribbean or relaxing on the beach in Florida, we love it all! This year we decided a trip to Destin was long overdue. With so many hotels and rentals, it was more than a little overwhelming trying to find the perfect place to stay. One thing I noticed while searching was the price. Everything seemed so over priced! That was until I came across Extended Stay America. This particular location wasn’t directly on the beach but it sure wasn’t far from it. We arrived around…

Did Someone Say Dinosaur?! This summer is going to be big for my family. I have something fun lined up for us over the course of┬áthe next two months. The first stop on our list was Jurassic Quest. How awesome would it be to have had the chance to live in a time when dinosaurs roamed the Earth? Although, it probably would have been just as terrifying as it was awesome. Helen Henny’s Birthday Celebration Chuck E Cheese and friends are having a big birthday celebration for Helen Henny’s Birthday. The celebration began as soon as we stepped in the door. I went straight to the register to order our pizza, get tokens, and drinks. To my surprise the manager, Daria (I hope I remembered that correctly), met us at the front and let me know our table was ready for us and that…

My family and I had the opportunity to attend this year’s Georgia Renaissance Festival, in Fairburn, GA. As a child I can always remember my Mom taking my sister and I to historical sites around the southern states. I was so excited for the opportunity to step back into the Renaissance era. Be prepared to walk! This festival is more popular than I expected and parking distance was more than a hop and skip from the entrance but definitely worth the walk. Once you reach the main entrance you are greeted by what I will refer to as jesters. The…

In 1982, a troupe of young street performers founded by Gilles STE-Croix mixed with the crowd of tourists, artists and collectors in Baie-Saint-Paul, the mecca for Quebec painters. They formed The High Heels Club. Walking on stilts, the entertainers juggled and breathed fire. Inspired by the vacationers’ obvious delight, the performers organized the Baie-Saint-Paul entertainers’ festival, where the public witnessed the beginnings of what would soon become The Cirque Du Soleil. Cirque Du Soleil gave new meaning to the term “circus.” The show creates a striking, dramatic mix of the circus arts (minus animals) and street performance featuring wild, outrageous…
